Are you a SAHM, WAHM, or do you rush between the school run and office every day?
Do you juggle childcare, housework, organising your household?
Do you wish you had just a few spare minutes to get that extra task done?
At Bunters Au Pair Agency, we think Mums are more than a little bit amazing, but we bet that once you’ve worn your wife, Mum, housekeeper and employee hats (and each one several times a day!), the one thing all Mums really crave is that elusive time to yourself. Or as we like to put it, #MumTimeFunTime. And we think you all definitely deserve it!
When it comes to childcare, everyone knows about nurseries and childminders, and many of you will even turn to trusty grandparents and other friends/relatives for support, but have you considered an au pair? Or maybe you’ve heard of them, but aren’t quite sure what they do (and have never had the chance to ask!)?
In collaboration with our overseas partners, we find and place au pairs from all over Europe with families in the UK, and have done for 21 years!
While they don’t have formal childcare qualifications, they all love children, and your sons and daughters should feel like they have a new big brother or sister!
Living in your home, they can be relied upon to provide you with flexible childcare, whether that be doing the school run, supporting your schedule if you work shifts, or simply covering for you and hubby so that you can have a night out!
They can also help you with light housework, ranging from preparing food for children, to helping out with washing, cleaning and ironing.
In return, they need their own room in your home; to be provided with their meals and involved in family activities where appropriate; and should be offered pocket money of at least £70 per week.
We would love to chat to you about how an au pair might be able to help your family and can provide support throughout the whole process, ranging from discussing individual requirements, to finding and vetting candidates, and answering any questions once the placement starts. Family is everything and it would be a privilege and a pleasure to support yours!
To say thank you to Mums, we are also running a competition to win some gorgeous pamper products. Tweet us, or post to our facebook page, an image of what you would do with some #mumtimefuntime! More details, and Ts and Cs, at www.aupairsnannies.com/blog/competition-time. Good luck!
