I’m always on the look out for healthy snacks for my two children. Don’t get me wrong, they do have treats – everything in moderation – but I do try and keep salt and sugar levels down because that’s the right thing to do.
My little Flo is particularly keen on popcorn but most brands have loads of salt and sugar in them, and other things besides. So when we given the opportunity to try out a new, healthier popcorn by local business Oli and Zoe’s Food Co we jumped at the chance!
The popcorn arrived at 11. By noon Flo had polished off both packets! One was sweet; the other a mix of sweet and salty popcorn. As you can see, Flo gave it the thumbs up. (She loves posing, that child!)
The packs are great because they’re just the right portion size for a child. Usually you end up with half-eaten packets and have to search for bag clips to keep leftovers fresh and crunchy. As a parent, I love the fact that there’s nothing artificial in there – just three ingredients – the popping corn, rapeseed oil and sugar and/or salt. And it’s rather nice that the product is made by a lovely local business just down the road.
